My horrifying descent back into the welfare and food stamp line momentarily killed what was left of my creative urge, until a lot of fans sent encouraging emails, letters, cards, and gifts. Also, sitting in the waiting room of the welfare office for hours prompted my down-and-out food stamp show, "Nothing Left but the Smell: A Republican on Welfare"....and now I'm like the Welfare Queen rising from the food stamp ashes...
